Ave and I are proud to announce that our first official Moondog recording, Cast Iron Shore, was released today on
CD Baby. They are in the process of distributing our songs to all possible digital outlets, including, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc.  We’ve been working on these songs for years and finally scraped together enough cash to pay a professional studio to record, engineer, mix and master the tracks.  In addition, we were lucky to have two great studio musicians, Charlie Magnone on Keys and Kirk Sonnenberg on Drums, play on all of the songs.

Went back to Century Recordings in Dripping Springs to finish up the vocal tracks and do a few overdubs.  We finished up all of the tracks, now on to the next step, mixing.

Moondoog was hard at work on November 19th recording our first EP release, Cast Iron Shore. We recorded 7 songs, one, Troubleshootin’, has 2 versions, all on this day.  Nick Jay, at Century Recordings in Dripping Springs Texas, engineered the sessions and we really put him to the test, as most bands record 1 song or maybe 2 in a full day’s session.  We knocked out all of the basic instrumental tracks for our entire album in this one session, one after another, each with only one or two takes.  We still need to record all the vocal tracks, which we are planning to do on the 26th of this month.  We’re so happy to have had two great session musicians help us out, Kirk Sonnenberg, Drums and Charlie Magnone, Keys.
